I don't but would be interested to find out. I often undertake middle-laners, at 70 on empty motorways. None of that swerving lanes and dangerous speed stuff, but I see no reason why I should traverse all three lanes to get past them and their irritating misuse of the motorway.
I make a point of going across all lanes and then back across again to try and prove the point that they are driving like a bellend, and give them the compulsory flash of course. They do my head in, I was on the M25 at 4am a few weeks ago and this Corsa was sitting in the outside lane of a 5 lane wide stretch with absolutely nothing else on the road, he seemed oblivious to everything. |

People who do that really don't seem to understand what the problem is. No point flashing lights at them and all that shit, they're on another planet. Anyone who has driven abroad frequently and then returned to the UK and driven over here will realise that British drivers, in general, aren't that bad and are a hell of lot more patient and courteous than in Scandinavia from my experience (the Danes are the worst, tailgating extremely closely on a motorway at 130km/h) but the sheer volume of traffic over here makes it a pain in the arse. I took the coach to London yesterday and it was painful. Moped drivers in London seem to be suicidal too.

Actually that is a good point. I was in Italy recently and they didn't seem to have any traffic laws (or any that were followed) at all. Crossing the road was terrifying.

I was behind a Mercedes in lane 3 of the M3 a few weeks back and followed him for 10 miles, I didn't want to undertake him but people behind me did. For the first couple of miles he was going past traffic but for most of the time he had no reason to be out there! He was doing around 65, I wanted to get to 70 so I could get home.

That's sometimes questionable, the process called overtaking actually means you have to be going faster than the vehicle you are allegedly overtaking That will be due to a decline-incline in the road. Driver being overtaken should let the other one in by easing off the gas to keep traffic flowing. Good truckers do this. The biggest middle lane hogger cunts are the ones who refuse to budge regardless of what other traffics needs are or the conditions of the road. For instance, Truck needs to use middle lane as it is approaching traffic in nearside lane. Nothing in the outside lane so trucker indicates his intention but car in middle lane ignores this and refuses to move out to keep traffic flowing. Trucker either pulls out anyway and forces the issue to the hoggers rage or slams his brakes on and has to wait. I indicate with plenty of notice for the car behind,wait, and if they dont move they either get a flash of lights or gesture from me when they pass or if the distance is safe and outside lane is clear i move out and make them move. They then think i'm a cunt and they gesture at me. There are good car drivers out there who read the situation move over with no problems and i give them a wave as they pass. |
