Many years ago I was going to an audit in Salisbury and was "swooped" by a Fairchild a-10.  Eek

I used to work in the middle of RAF Fairford USAAF base - I was driving around the base in a little Bedford Rascan Van and just going around the end of the runway when, unseen by me a, B52 came into land above by head. Change of pants needed after that.

On the subject of Bristol City, I found this exchange strangely familiar:

Are #bristolcity fans worried about the future? After the recent reports about the state of the wage bill, can you cope with the 3rd tier?

I was there 1991 - 1996, and for various airshows after that. I worked for the airshow (IAT/RIAT) not the base itself.

A belated bottle of good port left by my ex GF for my birthday back in March. Some time boys it does pay dividends to part on good terms.

Went to Craven Cottage tonight, to see Fulham vs Chelsea. David Luiz banged this one in, which kind of made up for the £55 ticket.

Fulham looked good early on but Chelsea were the only team once they'd scored. They never got out of second gear either. The tickets we had were 'neutral' but sharing an end with Chelsea fans, so the atmosphere was good, not a peep out of Fulham though.

My Sunday team playing our rivals for the title tonight! A draw will see us through as champions and a huge piss up will follow Smiley
