It's got fuck all to do with it being Gary Barlow's. It has everything to do with it being a malicious attack specifically directed at one individual.

But that is picking and choosing when it's ok to tell the jokes or find them amusing in the first place. if the jokes were not directed at someone in the public eye not many people would give a shit and that's what wrong.

It's very easy to differentiate between when they are harmless and when they are not. It really is very easy. And yes, people should pick and choose when it's OK to do so and when it's not OK. That's obvious so I don't see what point you are trying to make.

The reason he's chosen Barlow is because he's a celeb and therefore gets maximum exposure, which is exactly what he is looking for. That's quite obvious also. It could have been any person under the spotlight, it just so happens that Barlow has suffered such as travesty recently. Had it been any ordinary Joe then people would not have even known about it. It's not a matter of people not giving a shit about anybody else, it's a matter of people not being aware and the troll not receiving the exposure he is looking for.

It's not picking and choosing when to tell a joke at all. One's a joke, one's not...

NR, I can't believe you're unable to tell the difference between a joke, directed at no single individual, and an awful personal attack, in public, against an individual. It's got little to do with being in the public eye, other than we wouldn't know of Barlow's circumstances and we'd be unlikely to be aware of the abuse.

It's like the difference between telling a fat joke (albeit dead babies are more extreme), or going up to a fat person and giving them abuse for their size. The difference is MASSIVE. It's not even comparable in my opinion.

Some of those Gary Barlow jokes raised a little smirk, but like BKRed states, there is a world of difference between telling a general joke and deliberately trying to cause offense for a bit of publicity. What that guy is going is plainly wrong and I hope he gets his come-uppance.

It's amazing how so many people ignore the power of the mid day sun, sat amusingly watching people on the beach, not a bottle of sun cream between them turning the colour of cooked lobsters. Probably the last day of hols for a lot of them and they seem determined to get a Tan !
