Wasted Little DJs by The View

Day We Caught The Train by OCS

This Song Is About You by The Enemy

Nuff said for some alternative (OCS aside) Indie bangers...

Seen all of them live so probs a bit bias. Still banging tunes. Lyrically speaking the all speak to proper working class British Culture and working class british culture speaks back.

Simon Fowler from OCS is a pretty decent bloke in my experience too.

Good trip down memory lane there Kev! Not quite in the same category as Sax, but I went to see The View in Luxembourg 10 years ago now and next to the venue there was a pub that a lot of the Ex-Pats used to drink in and sometimes bands would also come in afterwards. Well, the Dundonians made an appearance and i'm staggered they were able to play the gig given how plastered they were. The guitarist ended up on the floor like a felled oak tree in the forest, and the Band's manager literally had to remove them from the pub as she had obviously seen where this behaviour had led to before. They seemed nice enough but I think the singer has suffered from his own 'demons'.

I listened to the jim bob album this morning on your recommendation. It is good. Love the track 'Random Act'

Its really good innit, the previous one is similarly good! Planned to go and see him in Manchester back end last year but it came a bit too soon COVIDwise for me wanting to be in a small venue with loads of people.

Now I may be a tad biased, but with exception of one individual - the GWH have been absolutely brilliant following a freak accident last week. Top class care.

Fly-fishing may be a very pleasant amusement; but angling or float fishing I can only compare to a stick and a string, with a worm at one end and a fool at the other. Yikes
