I feel your pain - you've described my last 6 months in a nutshell. Not been lazy, if anything been busier than ever, but everything takes three times as long as it should do, and it's all massively depressing. I keep telling myself if I can put my head down and get through it, a land of milk and honey awaits on the other side, but I don't believe myself any more. So I've reverted to the "glad to have a job ... putting bread on the table ... plenty much worse off than you ...." mantra
I've been sitting about all week stressing cos' I have no work to do. Now today I have had a flood of contracts come in, I want to play plants v's zombies.

People/TV Programs/Films that play 'Born in the USA' whenever anything to do with America is shown - as if its some ultra patriotic anthem.
Well, its not exactly a cheerful, pro-America little number but that doesnt seem to stop endless pissing holiday programs belting out its opening chords when showing jerky, stylised footage of the Empire State Building.
Sorry, this rant is triggered by my boss doing a powerpoint presentation today to some American visitors, the song was played during a NY street/Cowboys/Oil Wells/Soldiers photo montage... I just winced.
That is all.

Didn't George Bush use it in one of his election campaigns as well, because he hadn't actually listened to the lyrics? George Bush in "not as bright as you might think" shock!

Bush Sr. was up there too. Also, his 88' campaign produced this little piece of history ....and the kids think FOX News are bad.

Fat trollop bints who can't open a car door without hitting the car (mine) next to it.
I took great pride in verbally abusing her as she didn't know I was near the car.

Just had a phonecall saying i'd won tickets to the Champions League Final.
Turns out it's the Women's Champions League Final, on Thursday at Craven Cottage.
"Sorry mate, 'fraid I can't make Thursday, offer them to someone else!"
