We got to Paradise Park by about 02:30 and little man has fell asleep on the coach trip.
So after a bit of a struggle to wake him up enough / have carry him off the coach we get round to a grump coach driver moaning that he’d been waiting for bag too long and he was just about to chuck them back on & go - at which point I lost it a bit and said if that had happened I’d have kicked his head in.
This hotel had a small selection of dinner so some of us had dinner at about 3am!
Showers & bed for a few hours - woke up 08:30, still absolutely no news on our rescheduled flight. No idea how long the hotel want us in here for. Not that I’ve been yet but load of people in reception (from Glasgow) who have been sent from the airport here despite the fact there are apparently no more rooms.
Obviously this shit happens and it’s not Jet2s fault - the only thing that has really annoyed me the fact all the other airlines / tour operators got their people out first and the arrivals was just full of Jet2 people and no one else.
They were also getting people out based on rearranged flights rather than how long they’d been there. We were sat with a young couple from Manchester who had been there several hours less than us but had their flight rearranged for Wednesday - so got taken out to a hotel (understandably) as our wasn’t (and to my knowledge still isn’t) rearranged we were the second from last out. Only Stanstead people left.
Wife & I both on leave this week anyway & school holidays. So as long as we have food, something to drink, a shower & a bed I can live with that

They bought a coach load of people in after us to this hotel despite the fact there are no rooms left.
They have been given sunbeds in the conference rooms (which whilst mightily shit is a upgrade from the airport floor)
We have no new details, so we just have to sit and wait. Jet2 rep is under the assumption the room they put us up in last night (well this morning) was only for last night, so we are expected to check out at 12.
To then I guess sit and wait for a flight that might not be rescheduled today!
Whilst I feel for the room less people - if they think I’m checking out at 12 with no scheduled flight home they can think again.

Very good question, can’t find that information anywhere. Nothing on Bristol Airport website to say it left. Nothing on Tenerife airport site to say it arrived. Yesterday Flight Radar had it leaving Bristol at 18:15. Then at about 6 it got pushed back to 20:15. Then at about 8 it changed to status unknown & hasn’t changed since… It isn’t on Jet2s list of cancelled flights either… |

Looking at Fligh Radar Jet 2 seem to be having a total mare, there are 4 flights Bristol to Tenerife showing between 6.30 and 7.00 this morning. However if it it correct there is presently a plane flying Bris-Ten passing Madeira at the moment so who knows? (I suspect you know all this already albeit I know FR is much more user friendly on a desk top v. a phone!) |

Really poor communications from the airline/tour operator. It wouldn't be so bad if they said we have a flight guaranteed for you tomorrow and you can stay in the hotel they've put you up in until then so you could at least relax and enjoy the next 24 hours without the stress rather than being left in limbo.

There is a Bristol - Tenerife due into Tenerife at 11:00 but that’s a standard one. So will be fully booked up anyway. Goes every Tuesday & Wednesday from what I can tell… So unless they are going to bump everyone a day but can’t see them disrupting more people |

So unless they are going to bump everyone a day but can’t see them disrupting more people in my limited experience they'll get you on any flight on any airline they can with capacity yesterday was exceptional, so they are possibly looking at special flights |

He’s refusing to get out of bed. Cant blame him either tbh. I’ve had breakfast spoke to the Jet2 rep and I’m gonna try and get some more sleep in (watch him wake up as soon as I fall asleep) |

Now been told to vacate the room for 12 (fuck off)
…and basically sit in reception and wait for jet2 to contact us via text, the app or email.
…or for €1.50 each we can catch a bus to the airport because…?!,?
