Sad

It's what you get it you have a free market economic solution for something that's a natural monopoly. We could have a really complete 5g mobile network, but instead we've got four different networks,  none of which  cover rural areas well whilst urban areas have  masts everywhere because O2, Vodaphone, Three and EE each have their own.

Have you seen the blue barriers they're everywhere!

WTF would you need to have a password to visit a hospital room?  Huh?

RIP young man.

Left my job I had been in for 13 years after being headhunted* by a business contact for a new role.

Today, after returning after a week off with covid I was told I was no longer needed, just before my 3 months probation was up.

Cunts.

That’s terrible. The way employers are allowed to treat employees in this country is terrible . Worth remembering when complaining about unions etc. Workers have to stand up for their rights or we’re all fucked.
Best of luck finding another job.

On the flip side there are employees who work the system the other way. Where I work the owners have had this recently. So while two wrongs don’t make a right there are shysters on both sides of the coin. It could be argued that the more ‘rights’s’ employees have the more creative employers need to be to manage them ergo the more tax laws a government introduce the more creative accountants become to avoid extra taxation.

Every action has a reaction.

If you honestly think the majority of employers would enshrine employee rights unless they were legally bound............good luck to you!

Nope, not taken it personally, why would I?, just wondered whether it was rhetorical or not and depending on which what my answer was going to be.
