After having to drastically change my diet this past week, I stumbled upon a product called a Buddha Bowl. Something I thought may be an adequate replacement for rice or pasta.

My God, it was like something from Satan’s bottom. Quinoa, various seeds and what looked like an amalgam of bogeys and ear wax.

Fucking tasted like it, too.

To make that work you have to actually eat it!

I think the problems were 5 years in the making, so my previous diet of Mars bars, chips and Mythos May have had a bit to do with it!

Tbh, I thought my diet was pretty good, but I do/did have a terrible sweet 🦷

If and when you come back to the UK you will find it hard during the winter time to leave off the pies, pasties, pizzas, sausage rolls etc as a cold salad & fruit dosen't work for me!

The Buddah Bowl is now having an unfortunate effect on Mrs Audrey. Think she may need a clothes peg.

Travelled into London/Canary Wharf yesterday for a work 'reconnect' day. Had a few beers with some work colleagues which was good and got to Euston in plenty of time for my train, which was a relief as for 2 minutes was sat on completely the wrong train! (it fortunately wouldn't have been a disaster as it was going to Northampton rather then Edinburgh or somewhere geographically unhelpful)

Anyway, I got onto the Birmingham train, which was very busy and immediately my commuting ire was raised by a gentleman in front of me sat in the aisle seat with his bag taking up the window seat. (never understand that behaviour especially on a packed train) Anyway they opened up first class to ease the pressure so nobody seemed to want the seat next to bag man. In front of bag man was a mother and 2 younger children, aged around 6 and another maybe 12 or so. Anyway halfway through the journey the man decided the kids were making too much noise (they weren't, they were both laughing at something on their tablet) and asked if they could keep it down - it wasn't a quiet carriage  - of course this really pissed the mother off and explained that her daughter was autistic and was having some time on her tablet. The man was unhappy that he could hear them through his noise cancelling headphones and a bit of discussion ensued.

In the end the discussion fizzled out but it could have ended much worse. Had the kids been running amok up and down the carriage or screaming etc then I can understand why someone might have been put out, but genuinely they were making absolutely no noticeable noise at all. I didn't have my headphones on and think he was doing it to make a point, or that he is just an absolute weapon that likes to cause hassle. The joys of a commute!!

Ah the joys of commuting, at least they open up first class down there, in my latter years TPE stopped doing that so standard would be absolutely rammed (my train into Manchester in the morning was reported at one stage as being the most overcrowded in the country) and 1st would be empty.

That bloke would not have lasted 5 mins up here, someone would have removed his bag and sat down whether he liked it or not!
