Beyond my area of legal expertise, but settling for North of £10m (plus making all manner of statements and apologies about your association with a sex offender - strangely no statementsfrom her apologising for lodging the case) when you have apparently knocked a bloody great big hole in your opponents case seems a novel approach.

Let us be upfront (not taking sides) because these things are allegedly watertight in their NDA’s and it is easy for the MSM to fabricate any amount because they know the parties cannot disclose the final figure without legal recourse and having this scrutinised in and open court case. It will leak out and never be disclosed, some papers over here suggesting its £12m.

Whatever she may or may not have been paid (and many on social media seem to be concentrating on the pay out rather than why the payout was made), probably should be concentrating on a victory against young girls being abused by wealthy men.

Kids writing and their ability to articulate seems worlds ahead of where it was in my day, seeing how our little 'un writes and reads amazed me at the time and now being a governor at her school primary education bears little resemblance to what it was in the 80's when I had the pleasure.

Waking up this morning I see that Swindon Town was trending on Twitter because of this, but its an odd one, as even if they do find the lad will his mum really want it publicised that she is struggling to put food on the table? Who knows?

Kids do odd things, I insisted on making and sending a get well card to King George V in Swindon works when I was 4.

I got a reply from her as well (advantage of having a dad who used to work inside and still knew people who did at the time) and was interviewed on Radio Oxford!
