Don't worry Chubbs; I had bacon, egg and sausage this morning too. There's no law against cooked breakfast on a weekday and 4D's jealous tears make it even better.

I sometimes have a full-English in the afternoon.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

The cost of holidays abroad. Define expensive... We are doing a cheap week self catering in Tenerife, May half term, 2 adults, 2 children, £1200 (+ checked luggage). Car hire 1 week, £50. £70 tracked quidco. Its still a lot of money, but if we go to say Cornwall we could easily pay £600-800 on accommodation (though yes, it can be had cheaper/go camping/etc).

Define expensive...
10/11 Nights all inclusive anywhere "safe" seems to be between £4-£5k for a family of 4 in August

That is a ridiculous amount of money for a holiday. How old are your kids ? You don't need to go abroad for them to have a wonderful time at a fraction of the cost.

My kids are both 9. We like to mix up our holidays - some here, some abroad, some sun, some activity based. As previously posted my wife's father died last week so I was just looking to treat us all

I'd probably take the fine from the school and go in term time if going abroad on that type of holiday was a must. Sorry for you loss by the way. Not seen that previously.

True that. I never went abroad as a kid (as in, 0 times) and I couldn't care less, then or now. Obviously can see why people want to though.
