Never been to Egypt but from what I've been told by people that have I won't ever be going there, terrorist threat or not. Unbearably hot, pervert locals, begging, harassment. No thanks. Happy holidays !
Sounds like London in the summer?

My brother went to Cuba and complained that it was too hot.
Turns out that the island being in the Caribbean wasn't a giveaway.

We have. My grumble was that Easyjet wouldn't waive the admin fees to change our flights to elsewhere given the situation. I didn't want a refund, so fundamentally they're not losing anything. In fact they've gained, because the flights we've changed to are slightly more expensive.
how much are the admin fees in relation to the cost of the holiday?

Maybe in Cairo and Luxor (I experienced the scam artists and beggars in both) but not in Sharm. The place is solely a tourist destination and doesn't have any 'locals', apart from the roaming Bedouin. The heat isn't unbearable, it's great! Oh, it also has one of the best coral reefs you'll ever see.

I dropped a bottle earlier and it broke. It only fell about 3 inches yet there's shards of glass everywhere. Physics can be such a bitch at times.

I'm sure many people have had a great time there and I hope those from this site do too when they go. I wouldn't go on a cruise due to horror stories I've heard but equally there are many happy holidays spent on them. Take as you find I suppose as with anything.
