In it. Quite memorable too as her boyfriend hauled me out the car and hit me with a dustbin lid!

Hell of a mess they left though, went through all of her stuff

I've been burgled before. A horrible experience, and I wasn't even home at the time.

We got burgled when I was about 14 by a skag head. He absolutely ripped my bedroom apart and destroyed everything including my Star Wars toys (to me, that's like shoving a statue of the Virgin Mary up your arse as you look back at the Pope and ask him he's enjoying the show). Fucking pissed me right off. He was caught in the back garden while we were on holiday by a 5"2 WPC. The neighbours called the OB He 'banged his head' on the lawn. He was locked up overnight and back on the streets by 10am the next day. There then followed a protracted legal process which resulted in the skag head being let off with a caution. In other words, the Cunt was caught red handed, having stacked up all the valuable stuff by the patio windows, ready to take it away. This was well over 20 years ago. I was delighted to hear the filthy fucking scumbag died of an overdose about 10 years ago. I actually went and got pissed to celebrate the horrible fucking waste of space being dead. If I caught a burglar, they would be dead within seconds of me catching them.

The strange thing is they went through everything, kitchen cupboards, fridge, drawers and personal documents, clothes, the washing basket - then even went after a USB stick ! They had packed a load of her stuff in her sport bag ready to leg it, but got disturbed - leaving the bag, laptop and camera behind. Not only this but their bag full of swag from previous jobs was left behind, stupid fuckers
They got away with jewellry, but oddly enough left 6 ear-rings behind - one for each of the six sets
Just the thought of catching such low life going through my stuff boils my blood

It was 16-17 years ago that I was burgled.
It was my own house, that I owned. I didn't have much in there as I was in the process of selling up before I moved away. I had a big TV in there that I hadn't shifted yet, they took that.
The financial loss was not the problem. It was irksome but nothing more. The feeling of being intruded, however, was awful. I think I went to stay with my Nan that night as I didn't want to stay at home because it didn't feel like my home. It's difficult to describe, although I can say it was thoroughly unpleasant.

That's a perfect example of the level of stupidity you're dealing with. I used the word stupidity as opposed to intelligence deliberately. They're pretty much sub-human, almost Ape like, although I reckon your average simian could outwit them. Having said that, the USB and the potential identity theft is extremely valuable these days. Get your friend to change EVERYTHING immediately, the inconvenience now wis nothing compared to the potential consequences.

Damn right (although I will never forgive the Star Wars thing). I changed into the small room at the back after that and didn't sleep in the house for a few days.

If that happened I would hope you get sent down for a long time. We got burgled when I lived with a mate on Plymouth street. They stole my mates stuff, I was away in Sweden. They also stole our frozen food. Skag head apparently.

As far as I'm concerned anyone who breaks into someone else's property should lose all rights. If that means home owners can defend their property by all means that's fine with me.

Try to take my stuff, face the consequences. Don't like it? don't try it.
