SBC's bin collections. Didn't get one for over 3 1/2 weeks at Christmas as we were a Thursday collection, we're meant to collect on the 31st of December but didn't, so each collection since the two wheelie bins that service at least 14 flats have been full with bags left by the side, binmen have run those over to take the wheelie bins out, the we've filled the bins up with the leftovers. Repeat ad infinitum. Council are doing fuck all about it.

The council decided to remove one of our bins, I've no idea why, but it now means our bin area, after a short period, turns into a dumping ground with all the bins full and the area turning into a pile of bin bags. The trouble is, nearby residents exacerbate it as the lazy cunts use it for dumping their own waste. Surprisingly the council take all ours away. |

Not down here they don't there is a large sign on our tip saying no mixed household waste. Must be different in Wiltshire to Somerset then. Could be beacuse our tip here is a recycling centre and not just a waste dump. Then again we have to pay to use the recycling centre in Yeovil and Crewkerne, Chard is going to follow suit soon as is Taunton so no free recycling which will mean loads more fly tippings probably. From the Somerset recycling website. Please sort recycling and refuse before visiting site. Staff may open black bags or other containers to ensure all the recycling has been separate |
