Was that the same 1950's where "you never had it so good"?

That's the one, where MacMillan coined the phrase....I'm sure from his grouse moor it looked that way.

The "kids don't know they're born" vs "everything is shit these days" debate is tiresome, and never goes anywhere.  It stemmed from a very sensible post on a specific issue - renting and home owning - and as usual has turned in to a generic debate full of empty, evidence-less statements based purely on one's own experiences...

...so here's mine.  The 90s were an awesome time to grow up.  It's tough for first time buyers now.  Having kids will skint you forever.  Old people had it hard.  Victorian kids had it harder.  Cheese shouldn't have fruit in it.  Green is nicer than blue.  My ankle shouldn't be swollen but it is - proving again that everything bad, in the world, ever, happens to me.  Nicholas Cage is talentless.  Sliced bread is overrated.  It really is all about the boobs.  I need a beer.

Debate over.

Me too apart from I grew up in the 70's early 80's, I don't mind cheese with fruit in it and blue is much better than green, otherwise spot on.

Back on topic.

Any danger of the forum not crashing every 10 minutes?

I agree with this.

I have been tolerant but feel its possibly time that we will have to start protesting against the owners, it is obviously the case that they are only here to asset strip this forum, taking huge consultancy fees and leasing cars on the back of our hard earned cash - they will not put the investment into the moderation staff to sustain the forum at the level I feel it deserves.

When we do get answers its very obvious that the poster is not wearing a tie when making the comments and the lack of communication that doesn’t involve manatees or cheese is franking shocking, making us a laughing stock at other forums such as Ox**rd or Screwsbury.

I would suggest that to show solidarity all protesters wear fez's (what the hell is the plural) and gather to protest about the decline of the forum.

In a comedy irony the forum then crashed when I tried to post this!  Roll Eyes

Don't know what's wrong with the server, I just think the host is becoming a bit cunty.

I have a better server ready to go, I just haven't moved the forum as I've continually failed to make the time. I wanted it done before the new season and have been putting it off, so maybe I'll squeeze it in before the weekend. Would be a good test of the new server as well, although it's in Amsterdam, so I suspect it's run by a bunch of mash heads.

Shouldn't this be in the news thread...

Adver News: THE TOWNEND: Scott will 'take time' to move to new server.
