And when did fire engines start being 'appliances'?  Just because firemen might call them that, doesn't mean the rest of us have to.  It's like people who refer to their own home as a 'property'.  It's a house, you cock.  You're not an estate agent.

Haha bad morning?

A bit.  Kids finding it hard to sleep in the heat.  We're all a little grumpy this morning.

How hot is it there?  We hit 40 today but have AC in every room which certainly makes sleeping easier

You'll probably laugh.

Daytime temperatures are reaching 30°C, falling to a minimum of around 21°C at night.  But our house retains heat very well (so room temperatures are something like 25°C or 26°C) - which is great in winter, but not so great at night during the hottest part of summer.  No air con here, I'm afraid.

It was 6ºC here the other night and I'm sleeping in an unheated caravan.

Having to go to the post office this morning to collect an item that didn't have enough postage to cover delivery. It was a renewal form from STFC supporters club, they had put a 2nd class stamp on but that left a short fall of £1.19 so I'd imagine plenty of others will have to do the same and collect and pay themselves. Been a member for a few years now, mainly as the money raised seems to be spent wisely.

Spent 7 years here with 40+ degree summers, usually set the AC at 28 in the evening and thats just about right.  5 degree winters with no insulation, double glazing or heat on the other hand.

Bit annoying, but not as bad as one I had to go and pay a surcharge on collecting recently, which came form a Solicitor, with no fucking stamp on....after I'd paid them a bucket load of money for about 20 mins work. Couldn't be arsed to go and moan about it....bunch of cunts.

Thats just wrong, I wouldn't imagine they " Forgot " to put postage on either ! Think a pound of the £1.19 was a PO admin charge.

I was up in my loft yesterday afternoon, it must have been about 55oC up there. I think I actually started to melt  Smiley
