Daytime temperatures are reaching 30°C, falling to a minimum of around 21°C at night. But our house retains heat very well (so room temperatures are something like 25°C or 26°C) - which is great in winter, but not so great at night during the hottest part of summer. No air con here, I'm afraid.

Having to go to the post office this morning to collect an item that didn't have enough postage to cover delivery. It was a renewal form from STFC supporters club, they had put a 2nd class stamp on but that left a short fall of £1.19 so I'd imagine plenty of others will have to do the same and collect and pay themselves. Been a member for a few years now, mainly as the money raised seems to be spent wisely.

Spent 7 years here with 40+ degree summers, usually set the AC at 28 in the evening and thats just about right. 5 degree winters with no insulation, double glazing or heat on the other hand. |

Thats just wrong, I wouldn't imagine they " Forgot " to put postage on either ! Think a pound of the £1.19 was a PO admin charge. |
