The image of Nigel Farage on the BBC frontpage today.

It's like Pennywise the fucking clown. Terrifying.

Two things:

Does that man ever leave the fucking pub?
Is there nobody else in that party that is able to speak and look into a camera?

But he's a man of the people! Anti-establishment and all that jazz.

(Just don't mention that he's an ex-city boy, privately-educated son of a stockbroker).

Yeah! He loves the pub! Like the lazy, uneducated ple... uhhh, hard, working man he is appealing to!

Seeing as when they do this happens:

Or this happens:

Of course, Farage is the shining light in the party, and indeed the political system, never saying a bad word about anyone.

Not sure about this bullet point about the club in the BBC's preview of tomorrow's game.

  • They have been promoted via the play-offs, on two of the six occasions they have participated in them; going up to the old Second Division in 1987, and to the Premier League in 1993.

Technically, were we not also promoted via the Play Offs in 1990, and then subsequently demoted shafted by the Football League?

You're right. The original punishment would have had us a division lower had we not won.

Picture of Olly Risser in my local paper shedding a tear following Aldershot's relegation.  Little room for sentiment in football, I know, and I'm not really bothered about Aldershot's relegation - although I'll admit I was impressed with the way they battled their way back to the Football League after reforming in the early 1990s.  (Franchise FC take note.)

But I digress.  Risser was never going to be one of our top players, but his attitude and his application were always spot on.  Have to admit I felt a twinge of sadness when I saw that picture.  Hope it works out for him next season.

Or perhaps he was suggesting how big the rubber plant will get?

Think I read Risser has been released from the Shots, could be wrong. The fans down there also agree about his attitude & Commitment to the cause. Came across as a good bloke and I also wish him well for the future.

I'm quite happy to admit I liked Risser but then I always like someone who gives 00% in the shirt. If they're not good enough that's the manager problem not the player. The ones I don't like are the ones who don't give 100%. That's the players an d the managers problem.

That is actually what was said by the UKIP member on a news item when asked about the picture. Don't look like he's reaching for anything to me.
