Talking of fetching a parcel from Royal Mail, the collection point at Hawksworth annoys me. Serving the entire town centre and Old Town, yet there are only 2 parking spaces and never has enough staff on.

It doesn't serve the entire town centre. The side that is closest to it (ie Faringdon Park area) has to go all the way to fucking Dorcan! Absolute piss take.

My head still hurts.  But I'll be damned if I'm missing the game tonight.

(Would just appreciate it if the rest of you cheer quietly when we score.  Thanks.)

Ah yes, as they used to say on the Somme: "It wasn't the mud, or the cold, or the constant danger; it was the bloody trampolines that sapped morale more than anything."

Especially when the springs snapped, mind you it would have made the snipers job a bit harder, now you see me, now you don't, now you see me, now you don't.

If your tissues look like tea bags I suggest its time to get a new box.

Thats part of the problem. I don't have a box at work, just a growing collection of screwed up tissues (now disposed of appropriately) and a lessening pile of tea bags. Out of the corner of one's eye, they look similar.....

The whole transfer window pretend rumour thing - 'I have seen Lionel Messi shopping in Harrods, believe he is signing for Fulham today, blah blah'

Bored of it now.

It'll be even more fun when the whole of Swindon is being delivered out of Dorcan... West Swindon and Hawksworth offices are being wound down, hawksworth costs over a million pounds a year in rent...

Enforced cutbacks, not the fault of the people working there. Its being prepared for sale by the government.

Remember the days when there were 2 main post offices in town and twice daily deliveries. Like the Tories destruction of public services etc,The Royal mail is getting taken backwards too.

Tories have fuck all to do with the emaciation of RM, it can be placed firmly at the doors of Labour. As soon as they came into power in '97 they took a payment holiday from funding their pension plan (hence the massive deficit) and continued to strip any money they could out of the business until the mid-2000s when they realised it had gone to shit. then they allowed competition to enter the market, whilst not making them offer full network coverage that RM has to by law. Cherry picking ensued, RM only get about 11p per letter that they carry, sort and deliver for TNT/UK Mail/DHL/whoever else, all they do is pick it up and give it to the nearest RM office. Tories are blame-free from the mess that is Royal Mail...

the Tories are preparing the Royal mail for sale now. They are overseeing the closures you mention now. he toriesTories were also dipping into the pot generated by Royal mail long before labour took over, but labour did nothing for the Royal mail apart from the few back benchers who fought to keep it public. You won't be getting that now.
