Ha ha I take it back, their renewal quote was cheaper than the new member online price.
Maybe they lost a load of members last year and learned their lesson the hard way. Hope the AA do.

You do bid what you are prepared to pay, maximum.  However, if no-one else is interested, then the bid is lower.  If they seller knows the max, they can use a friend to bid up to just below my max to ensure they get more money.  So now, they get no money from me (or Mrs D).

Ah, I understand now.

Probably Asians who aren't used to sitting down and doing the business. At my halls last year they had to put up signs to stop people shitting while squatting over the bowl, it was messy.

It does genuinely happen, pretty much every day in fact when I was at halls.

Yeah it does, normally by people who are used to using squatters rather than conventional toilets.

I was in St Malo a few years ago and paid a visit to some public bogs that were in the process of being built and furnished. The sinks had marble and granite surfaces, the taps looked expensive but the crapper was like a shower cubicle  Huh? with a couple of foot plates. Why would you want to hovver a couple of feet over a hole? Definitely not designed for the time you have bad guts  Smiley

Maybe it was my badass attitude last year. I told them I may, possibly, move providers if they tried it on again. Probably.

Not really trivial, but RIP Kenneth Kendall.  Always seemed a decent sort.  And probably the first newsreader I can remember.

Because of course she'd have got the same kid gloves if she'd been a single mum caught fiddling benefits, wouldn't she?

She's either a wonderful actress, or has been completely fucked up by the whole expenses abuse business.  She's aged faster than...sorry, can't think of a decent comparison.  But the photo on the left was taken in 2009.
