Now the Liverpool/Manchester hatred, that's a different matter.
Apparently that all stems back to when the Manchester ship canal opened. Liverpool was the major port before that was opened, Manchester nicked all their business

First of all Jan, you don't think any Man U fans hate Man City fans? (or vice versa) or that any Liverpool fans hate Everton fans? Those rivalries are not quite as friendly and cosy as you seem to think.
That aside though, that wasn't the point I was trying to make, they were just examples (maybe not the best ones). I was just trying to get at where this so called 'hatred' comes from and why fans of any team would hate fans of another, regardless of who those teams are.
No OST I don't think that no Utd fans hate City, or no red scousers hate blue scousers, or vice versa but in general those clubs' supporters don't carry the hatred of each other as sometimes assumed, they're not to the level of Celtic & Rangers, that's for sure. Having said that there are scum supporters of all clubs, as well we know.

I was at the Man Utd Liverpool match the other week, the hatred Utd fans have for Scousers is intense, a few chants of 'mur-der-ers, mur-der-ers' and 'we won it three times, we won it three times, without killing anyone we won it three times' kind of gives you the impression these two sets of supporters won't be getting on for some time. I'm sure the socusers dish out the same kind of abuse, but luckily I was sat no where near that lot, and I didn't hear a peep out of them all match. Defo a perk of the job getting access to matches like that every now and then.

Ralphy - might be worth looking at your lifestyle - I suffered really badly then changed a few things and improved immensely.
What sort of changes ?? I exercise regularly and eat reasonably healthy.

More eating & less exercise might do the trick

Majority of my coursemates complaining on facebook that we have a lecture canceled wednesday morning and so another incredibly short week.
"we pay for this why am i only in for 4 hours"
However they won't use the time for anything productive and about 2 days before the deadlines i'll have to read more moaning statu's about how they haven't finished their essays in time!
