Mine is £109 - but I also have an open fire so coal/logs/firelighters/kindling is added to that.

Pay around the £200 per month but it’s the council tax that hurts @£250

The Mrs is from the North. She doesn't believe in heating, and the big coat only comes out at sub zero.

More awkward than anything

Wife’s friend ordered some flowers for my wife (no real reason). She had them delivered to the wrong house - to our neighbour, a 50-odd year old bloke who I think lives on his own (don’t really know him)

After finding out, I went round to ask for them - turns out the poor guy received them, was confused, went back and forth with marks and Spencer’s trying to find out who ordered them, got nowhere and so put them in some vases for himself (which I don’t blame him)

He gave the flowers back, in the vases, and I left with an almighty sense of guilt that this lonely guy thought he had some nice flowers, and we took them away from him (again, I don’t know him and I’m projecting)

We brought him some more and left them for him this morning, out of sheer guilt and panic

There could be a number of possibilities but if nothing else, you're clearly a decent bloke x

So I ordered some currency, quite a lot TBF via the PO. To collect from the Shaw branch this arvo. Duly rocked after 1pm. They’re fucking closed ALL week due to staff illness apparently. So somewhere between wherever they dispatch the cash and Shaw is my dosh.😡🤔🙄😳

Managed to get hold of their currency dept, and they are resending to another branch for delivery on Thursday. The day we fly. No advanced warning that they couldn’t deliver the money to the branch so it has been returned to the Westmead sorting office but they wouldn’t release it to me because it’s not in my name, yet.

There’ll be some awkward conv when we get back if we don’t get them before we get on the train on Thursday. I should have used my usual online currency dealer.

I somehow doubt that he’d be registered with any of the relevant financial authorities to legitimise any transactions.
