‘ We continually review your account balance and monthly payments to help keep your account on track, and it looks like your current payments might not be enough to keep your account healthy, so we’re suggesting an increase to your monthly payments of £62.34’.
Seeing as my current DD has left me over £300 in credit, I politely told them to fuck right off.
Seemingly they are starting to cock up a fair bit. I had an annual statement from them...for a prepayment meter...telling me how much I had spent and how much I was in credit etc. All in my name...except, I don't have a meter and I'm with E.on at this moment {side issue with yet another utility transfer issue}. Octopus also sent me a new Electricity payment key/stick recently too. I had communicated to them previously that I'm not with them and that I don't have a prepayment meter. I checked the meter serial numbers a few days ago and unsurprisingly they don't match up. God knows who's actual meter it is because it clearly isn't mine. Bit wank though, as it's somewhat of a data breach, despite not knowing the name of the person, I know exactly what this person spent on electricity payments - not exactly a great look for Octopus. Must be a mail merge fuck up somewhere, where my data is getting populated onto someone else's account. At least it's not an actual bill so no one really is in the dark on what they owe. However, that customer {the one who should be receiving those statements} might rely on it for any accounting or possibly business expenses. Someone somewhere is possibly wondering where their annual statement is. |

That's good - I'm giving them £90 a month, though my house is electric only (heating is most of it). |
