It’s in the public interest (surely) for him to be held to account. I hope that means the trial continues regardless of her u-turn

I read that the parties consumed "four or five bottles of wine each". That struck me as a lot.

The RSPCA remove animals from scenarios where they have been subject to abuse / ill treatment.

I'm guessing that there is no legal recourse for removing an adult human from an abusive environment? Matter of choice?
Just thinking aloud.

If kids were deemed to be in danger too I suppose that would be recourse to remove the whole family, including adults?

In school in late 70's early 80's the "joke" was "save a London child, kill a social worker."

Then as now, I'd imagine social services everywhere are both massively  overworked and underfunded and it costs lives, mainly young ones.
The scenarios where multiple agencies have failed in their duty of care are particularly galling & it's still happening.

Do the police really need to do this these days? A sniffer dog could do the job without the need to do this.

Depends if it was out on the lash last night!

They (and bees) have been popping up round here for the last couple of weeks.

My God, if you think selling a house is a pain in the arse in the UK try selling one to somebody in a different country.

I’m going fucking insane today.

My wife came home from work to inform me that the staff room in the children’s ward had been robbed. Staff bags had been gone through, bank cards stolen and money for peoples leaving dos. About £300 taken. CCTV doesn’t show the staff room door.

Absolute scum bags.
