Wisdom tooth extraction, ouch.

Is wisdom tooth extraction more painful than having other teeth extracted?

I've had teeth taken out from towards the front and barely felt a thing. The needle jab was the worst bit.

I had a tooth nearer the front out a few years back, that was just the jaw aching of having my mouth open for so long.  This one came with a bit of pain during the process but not enough to get them to stop and add more needles.  The post surgery pain is more though, I think because of the location in the mouth.  That or I've become wimpier.

Depends on the individuals pain threshold.  Had mine out, very little pain at all, have known other people have them out and said the pain was a killer.   Possibly depends on how gentle the dentist is and whether they can pull them out or have to cut them out and have to put stitches in.
Sorry if you were looking for someone to reasure you it doesn't hurt.   Yawn Yawn

Skinning and separating all the seeds from a pomegranate, which I’ve not enjoyed for a number of years. Then finding out that the effort v reward is minimal.

Thought you'd know better! You don't need to "skin" a pomegranate. An old woman in Greece showed me a really efficient way of getting all those succulently coated arils out without much effort at all.

Something I now love doing every time. It might be your pomegranate wasn't quite ripe enough/ready.

I had to have my Wisdom teeth out under a general about 15 years back, the pain from the extraction was fine, what absolutely killed for about a week was whatever they had done to my bloody jaw to get the buggers out, I could hardly part my lips for about a week, basically a soup diet!

With Wisdom teeth it depends on how long the root is - there is a major nerve that runs through the jaw and if the root is too close to that nerve it can cause people more pain.  Sometimes if the root is dangerously close to the nerve the dentist will refuse to exract without a proper operation because if that nerve gets damaged it can cause some permanent numbness or paralysing of the side of the face.

This is what we were told when my wife and daughter had theirs out.  I had mine out with no real issues, my daughter and wife swelled up significantly and were in bed for 2-3 days,

The dentist took great delight in informing me that my roots were all over the place.

I had an argument with my kettle the other day.

I can vouch for this. Not your argument with the kettle but I've certainly asked a tap "can you stop dripping" or my airing cupboard door to "come on you bastard!" after it became jammed shut.

Because mentioning she was a previous STFC mascot is entirely relevant to the case...

Do they mean like, she was a mascot as a five year old years ago? Or that she was Rockin' Robin? The latter is a much funnier story.

It was mentioned as a quote from her lawyer. I'd say it's a fairly pertinent point in this thrilling article.

Defending, Emma Hillier said the defendant has a 17-year-old daughter and two twins to support and is likely to lose her job as a trampoline coach following her conviction.
