If the season was starting tomorrow I would trust Wilson to do better with the current squad.

I maybe in the minority but I still think players like Aljofree, Easton and McGorvern are good enough for L1 and Swindon Town. They were good enough under Sturrock & his coaches but not under Malpas and his coaches. I firmly put that down to the manager and the coaches rather than the players.

Wilson and his coaches will get better from those players, so I do think we will do better than last season I would not have a problem with Aljofree, Easton & McGorvern being part of our starting 11.

However, the squad is small and pretty weak and we do need more players. Anyone can see that. I'm not 100% convinced we will get in many players or many players of a decent pedigree for L1.

If we were going to get those players in wouldnt we have done so by now? Robinson and Tudor-Jones stick in my mind. Players we were beaten to by other L1 clubs. My worry is most players dont see Swindon as an attractive club to come to.

I think we will do better than last seasons 15th place but improving on that and finishing 12th instead is really pretty pointless.

One season doesn't define a career of a footballer so I am expecting significant improvements from several players next season and I think a couple will step up to the proverbial plate.

A new stadium would go along way in securing new players im sure of it even though theres nothing wrong with the county ground.

Oh.

And I personally have a hunch that we may see the beast back to his best this coming season, some people seem to have a short memory as to how good some players actually are.

No Bangkok i am realistic. Dv said they were good enough for a 12th spot finish then in the next breath said it was pointless finishing 12th next year. If ifil, peacock mcgovern and aljofree were out of contract do you think Wilson would of kept them?

Ifil is simply a good player a this level. I would like to think that DW recognises that and would keep him to bring him back to life after Malpas killed him.

McGovern..... Dunno, what is he? Centre Mid? Right Midfielder...... He certainly ain't a winger and certainly not a winger that would fit in a DW team. Maybe DW would let him go as he just dont fit in the jigsaw.

Peacock...... Maybe DW can find a way to rewards peacock's good service to the club with a position as a squad player, asides from that he should be allowed to play elsewhere. Shame that.

Aljofree... I just don't know...

Peacock owes us BR. The worrying thing is i would hazard a guess that those 4 are probably amongst the highest earners at the club.

My gut feeling is that Peacock will play a small part this season with few goals (if any).....he is considered a striker again, right?
