Charlie Austin re-signs for QPR on a two year deal

Poor fella seems to be stuck in a sort of no man's land between the Premier and Championship, 34 goals in 111 PL games isn't too shabby, but possibly just not quite enough.

He's 32 next month so knocking on abit but his goal tally of 264 in 444 games is super impressive

Charlie is easily the best goalpoacher/finisher I have ever seen in a Swindon shirt, barring injuries he would have had an even better career, saying that his record is bloody impressive as it is with 264 goals in 509 games more than 1 goal every 2 games average.

I know most of Harry Kanes have been at a higher level but his strike rate is 1 goal every 0.52 games and Harry Kanes is a goal every 0.59 games.

By comparison Patrick Bamford is 0.35, Mo Salah is 0.44, Jamie Vardy is 0.48.

Tozer, Knoyle, Doyle and Mullin make the PFA L2 team of the year.

Needless to say none of our lot made it into the L1 equivalent.

If we had kept Matty Smith he may have had a chance!

Because he wasn't picked - ironically Doughty retiring gave Smith the opportunity to show he is good enough, it seems a similar opportunity did not exist in the Charlton squad.  Had Doughty played the season, I doubt Matt Smith would have got anywhere near as much game time as he did.

Kieron Freeman released by Swansea. The Beeb say they paid us £100,000 for him.

It would be good to get the club legend back on the books

Got probably a 300% pay rise in joining them, he also got his transfer percentage as he never asked for a transfer. He did well out of that move!
