I actually think they'll go up this season and hang about in the bottom league for ages. We'll play them in the FA Cup in 2 years and get revenge winning 2-0 at the Kassam.

To be honest, fair play if they go up. They should have done it a long time ago, and unless they get their act together soon, there's going to be a whole generation of Town fans wondering why we sing songs about Oxford.

This is their best chance for a decade to get a promotion.

I don't care about Oxford any more. If they get back in to the League I might change my tune but for now they (and the rivalry) are a thing of the past. I'm expecting Reading and the two Bristol clubs to provide our main rivalries in the future.

We dont care because they have been unbelievable shite for the last 10 years. You watch what happens when they get a promotion. Insuffrable All the yellow maggots comming out of the woodwork. But to be honest, I think our fans need it.

They always have. Remmember when we bought out an 'Inter esque' away kit, the next season they had an AC Milan style one. Sad bastards.

Nah. Oxford is a grotty little club. I simply can't be bothered with them.
If we start playing Reading or City again on a regular basis, the derby games will be immense. Big crowds, lots of atmosphere. That's what I look forward to.

The stats would confirm this...it's been a long time since we played O*frod at the CG, but the last season it happened the gates were a lot higher for City Reading than O*frod. The last but one season, which was probably > 10 years ago, there were plenty of games with bigger attendances. The reality is they never bring too many to the CG, and the policing costs are high...we need more games with the likes of Soton.
