That’s sad but a terrific age. RIP.

Sad that they won’t be able to make fun of him any more on “I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue”

Who can forget the sight of him pulling off 12 Angry Men in less than two minutes?

The undisputed mime master. But even he found it difficult to finish off Two Men of Verona without using his mouth. (From I'm Sorry I Haven't Got a Clue)

RIP Astro. Whatever you think of UB40s later stuff; their early stuff was the soundtrack of my youth and was brilliant and ground breaking; both in terms of the music and the messages it contained. With the passage of time, UB40 seem to be seen as less 'cool' than Two Tone, the Jam etc. but that wasn't how it was back in the day. Signing Off and Present Arms remain 2 of the best albums of that, or any, era.

Absolutely right. They were a highly relevant band in the days of Thatcherism and Signing Off was a ground breaking album. Saw em at Poole Arts Centre in 1980. Great gig. Shame they became so bland

He was a great commentator growing up in the 70's & 80's and used to love him on Star Soccer Sunday afternoons.
RIP Gerald one of the best.

Always thought he was a decent commentator.
