Can't deny that. Although it is tucked away in a tiny corner where a scant few are likely to come across it.

Personally, I tend to just think, oh that's sad. I really don't think anyone has any need to see my thoughts through the wonders of social media. Sometimes its just better to not share. People seem to have lost the ability to shut the fuck up and consider things quietly without spewing it out on computers.
I concur.

I think the most annoying thing I've seen regarding her death is the surge of 'My friends nans died and no one cared why the fuck should I care about Peaches'.
I wish people would just shut the fuck up sometimes.

Different celebrities affect people in different ways, Personally I only know her as the child of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates and to me she meant nothing in my life. To others, perhaps she did in a positive way and her death will affect them. When say Don Rogers passes away, this forum will be full of messages and heartache, but to others, say, not interested in football will be thinking, why are these people bothered, he only kicked a football about. Not sure if what I am trying to say comes across properly.

Its tragic for her family and heart breaking that her kids will have to grow up without their mother. But this is getting silly now.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26933626Martin McGuinness - BBC have a word with yourselves....

Two young children are going to grow up without their mother who has died at 25, and will right now be in unimaginable distress. It's very very sad, and if people don't care about that they have lost some of their humanity. I'm glad I don't know you.

I think people react far more to the media's hyperbole than they do to the actual event. Any death is sad, and one so young is undeniably tragic. But there's an element of mawkish, Diana-esque grief that I think is what rubs people up the wrong way. Keeping your mouth shut is almost certainly the best option, but I don't think people should be considered callous for making remarks that speak more about the culture of celebrity than the obvious tragedy of children being left without a mother.

That's kind of what I meant by "there's an element of..". I wasn't suggesting the two were identical.
Anyway, I haven't made any disparaging remarks towards her and nor do I intend to. It's obviously a very sad situation. I'm just saying I don't think it's fair to accuse people of being heartless etc for making flippant remarks on a forum.

If you don't care that two little kids are suffering then yes there is something wrong with you, you are probably somewhere on the autistic spectrum.
