It is a slow starter.

Having said that, it is one of those movies where the beginning is the best bit once you know the story. It is also very re-watchable.

I thought the beginning was amazing. Would have been an amazing little short film by itself.

I can only agree with those bigging-up Wall_E, fantastic film. It's interesting how despite there being relatively little dialogue, so much is conveyed by the characters.

Just watched The Wrestler, very good film. I'd put off watching it for a while but glad I finally got round to it.

Innit.

Different movie, but for the same reason I think that Tom Hanks is ace for what he did in Castaway. I found his (almost) solo performance very impressive.

I didn't like Wall-E, I fell asleep after 10 minutes. Granted I was extremely pissed at the time.

Watched Valkyrie last night - average.  Really would have been better in German, and I find Tom Cruise almost unwatchable sometimes.  Some of the other characters were very well acted though.

I have just finished watching The Wrestler. Very bleak film but I thought it was very good, wasn't as arty as I expected it to be which was also a good thing in my book.

Marisa Tomei has a very nice body for a lady in her 40s.

Agreed. Her and Heather Graham, very tasty for their respective ages (although upon checking, Graham isn't quite 40 yet).

on the flights to and from SA I watched In the Loop which was very funny and enjoyed immensely and the Wrestler, which I thought wasn't very good.

I'm not totally sure Si. I thought it was all a bit predictable which is maybe what marks it down for me.

I had heard really good things about it and thought it was ok but nothing more for me.

I'm not sure it deserved the hype it got also. I think the film is more of a character portrayal than a story and on that front the film succeeded.

I have Gandhi for tomorrow which I've never seen.

That was pretty immense. 3 hours+ but very watchable. Kingsley is epic, some of the other characters weren't so special.

I'm glad I finally got round to watching it, 4.5/5.

I do like the dodgy old cinematography, some of the scene change pauses are classics. On the whole a great job though Dicky.

Big fan of historical boigraphies.  Lawrence of Arabia is a great film too.  Am going to watch Che (part 1 and 2) soon, supposed to be good.
