Got Hancock on DVD at Christmas - Pile of shit. Really dissapointing film that, given it's premise, I was really looking forward to watching.
On the flip side, I also got Kung Fu Panda, which was brilliant.
I haven't seen Hancock, but I do know that what the world really needs right now is a new album from Big Will, the world's greatest rapper. Maybe a critical mauling of his latest big screen effort is what it will take to send him back to the studio.

I watched The Orphanage the other night. Been mentioned in here I think, and almost certainly in the Foreign Language thread a few weeks back. Very very good movie, another Del Toro masterpiece.
Hellboy 2 on the agenda for later.....

Del Toro is a genius. He is directing the Lord of the Rings prequels. Even if they're shit they will look amazing.

Not a Del Toro directed work though (producer)... Juan Antonio Bayona directed.
Although the film has Del Toro written all over it so-to-speak.

I watched Windtalkers last night. Plenty of guns and people getting shot up and shit so it was ok.

Just watched 'Stuart a life backwards'. Wish I'd read the book first though. Bit like The Beach, read the book first which was ace, film was toss.

Not yet. Wasn't aware it was a Del Toro effort, but I'll be keeping an eye out for it now. Haven't watched Hellboy II yet either, maybe tomorrow after a trip to Ikea.......
