Desperation is about a mining town in Nevada (I think it's Nevada). There's some sort of demon thing which is killing everyone and loads of Chinese people who work the mine.

Oh yeah I forgot to say, I watched Chinatown the other day and thought it was actually rather good. Nicholson plays the part of Gittes perfectly.

I just remember something about a cop dude (possesed I think, possibly undead) trying to make some bird give him a blowjob in a car park, and a kid that turns out to be a jesus like character. Doesn't a little girl get pushed down some stairs or something?

Yeah that's it Ben.

It must have been some years ago I read it too. Wasn't the most classic of books but entertained me all the same.

It's £16.88 on play.com (which seems a bit steep!) Or pm your address and I'll chuck it in the post.

It's in the post mate.

Watched Cass yesterday. Was quite good, bit of an odd ending though.

I watched it on Wednesday night. Not an amazingly exciting film but was better than expected given the awful reviews.

I didnt think there was much a plot to it to be honest. He gets in one ruck at the start then hes one of the top boys, dont think it works like that somehow!

It missed out a lot of that, I think mainly because he wanted to highlight his demise more than his rise.

But I thought exactly the same. Fair play for him making money out of it, but like you said, the juicy bits of the story weren't really there.
