The Beekeeper (Jason Statham).

it's not bad. It's like John Wick. But not quite as good.

Watching ‘The Outfit’. Bit of a twist on the gangster film so far. Enjoying it.

My son has just reached the age where we can start to move into the more adult films - let the fun begin.

Think ''Deep Impact'' is the more gentle title to start with.
But hey at least RobT can send the lad to the shop for hand soap and toilet paper now*

Not sure if this is on UK Netflix but a film has just been put on called Simon.

Its about the political unrest in Venezuela and my girlfriend who was involved in all of that says its chillingly accurate

I've watched quite a few films lately. Express reviews:

Gladiator II **** (not a patch on the original but still fun)
Lady Macbeth **** (Florence Pugh is great)
Conclave ***** (Fiennes smashes it)
Dogtooth ***** (the craziest film I've ever seen, brilliant and insane)
The Zone of Interest *** (didn't quite get the hype)
Emily the Criminal *** (Aubrey Plaza, better than expected)
Boiling Point ***** (a film in one-take; genius, with Stephen Graham)
Triangle of Sadness **** (currently on iPlayer, horrible mega-rich people on a boat and it all goes mental)
The Menu **** (Fiennes again, another snipe at the mega-rich)
Top Gun Maverick *** (haven't seen the original but enjoyed this enough)
The Holdovers **** (subtle and great, looks like it was made in the 80s/early 90s, in a beautiful way)
I Love my Dad **** (great American comedy yet not over-the-top)
Aftersun **** (sombre and heartfelt, on the iPlayer still I think)
The BFG (new one) ****

On my watch list: All of us Strangers, Anora, Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry, Dream Scenario, Evil does not Exist, Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, Past Lives, Red Island, The Grab, The Whale, The Worst Person in the World, Wild Tales, The Beast, The Delinquents, The Settlers, Bird, My Favourite Cake, Vermiglio.

Dogtooth trailer, would highly recommend if you can bear it:

I watched Heretic and Gladiator 2 recently.

Agree with you on Gladiator, nowhere near the original but very watchable.

Not sure what to make of Heretic, I don't want to give spoilers about the ending so it's hard to say more. Hugh Grant I thought was very good
