Bloody hell imagine him in that league! the average Vietnamese height can't be much over 5ft. Plus side for them go between his legs.

Not that it was ever a rumour, Kyle Hudlin has signed for Vietnamese champions Thep Xanh Nam Dinh.

How random. I would have put money on him signing for a NL side

Sobowale to St Mirren confirmed, I understand no fee is involved.

I wonder if that changes anything regarding incomings. We know Holloway wants a squad of 24 not including most of the youngsters and the adver reported they wanted 2 more to complete the squad. So is it now back up to 3 or have Mitchell and/or Foye played their way into his thinking?

Definitely need someone capable with a bit of experience to replace him. Mitchell’s a midfielder isn’t he, and Foye was involved in todays academy game and not the first team so i guess that would suggest Holloway isn’t considering him part of first team yet.

We do seem weirdly bad at getting small fees recently. Almost everyone who's left under contract - Kinsella, Longelo, Sobowale - seem to have left on a free. I'm sure these things used to be 'nominal fees' more often than not.

And obviously Reed who should have been a proper fee was a nominal one.

It’s a case of pragmatism here though. We either keep Sobowale’s wage but do not fully utilise him. Or we offer him around for free, and can bring in what Holloway considers to be a stronger player (I suspect Cerny Ando, Kpakpe or the lad from Cardiff). At this time of year it will be difficult to demand fees when there are freebies to be had. There are also more buyers around.

Mitchell certainly played midfield in the few games he was here last season for us but going off the reports etc for the preseason games it seems he's been used in the back 3 so far. I know it was only Melkesham but the Joe at the adver even said he did better in the middle of the back 3 in the Wright role than Ball had at Supermarine.

The bid from Cambridge was 75k across 2 installments according to Moosehead.

I agree that he’s priceless to us and doubt Cambridge would have offered more than 75k

It sounds like something from the Clem Morfuni transfer bid manual. Didn't we do something like that for a Hartlepool forward?
