Man Utd for one. Must have impressed in that FA Youth Cup game last season.

Lower league football is all about the here and now - no time to develop young ‘uns for the future.

Definately, the lure of a big club and higher wages will always turn kids heads, and rightly so, better coaching too.

It's a good number, it's just how much lifting 'could rise to' is doing, really.

Based on how our clubs funds have been distributed in recent years, while immediate may be nice, longer running transfer fees are just fine as well, for those receiving it.

This is very important, as long as any future fees go solely to the club and not individuals.

Exactly this, although our history of young players going to bigger teams has not been the best, most have disappeared into academies never to be seen again. Tower was probably the best having had a decent lower league career, but don’t think he was ever sold for big money

Bogle was the biggest one for us, through a sell on, that became part of the Power end as it happens I think.

Think that was obviously going to happen. His father wouldn’t have said anything if there was a serious negotiation.

More positively, if we were in for Bodin, Payne and co, we’ve got budget left and acknowledge that we need more options going forwards.

Suspect that's the 'full back who's talented but not quite ready' they were talking about in the presser then.

I wasn't there but others have said he did.

While supermarine is a reasonable level seems he'd be a punt for the future.
