Bit of a link

‘ he was defended by opposition manager Mark Kennedy, who said that Robinson had been a "little bit emotional and rash" but that "he has had a really tough start in his life and he is an incredible person".[13] Flitcroft confirmed that the player's contract would not be renewed beyond June 2023.[14]’

I don't know if the dates work, but there is a chance Kennedy coached him at Man City

Yeah, he knows him from a while back for sure. Definitely got a soft spot for him.

Vale fans, not so much!

That guy is a fake account. He used to go by another name purporting to being an Ex Agent.

Interesting link, Robinson was a highly rated youth that went off the rails a bit in his career, primarily a right back/wing back, but unlikely to be a target as he is only 5 foot 11 Cheesy

Has filled in at CB for Kidderminster and is a ball playing defender and at 22 needs to step up to relaunch his career.

Left Man City in 21/22 season Kennedy was there between 2016 and 2018 which did cover when Robinson was a youngster there. Also he is a fairly local lad from Cheltenham.

3 caps for England U17
3 caps for England U16
20 caps for England U15 half at CB half at RB

Bit of a drop from playing 20+ games in L1 for Vile and going to Kiddy in NL North.

He only played a full 90 mins in 4 games, the rest were either taken off or brought on as sub. 10 of those games he played in midfield.

Quote from: Kidderminster Forum
Sam Robinson being let go is surprising too. And when did Zak Brown sign a new contract to extend from the two year one he signed in 2022?

I wonder if Robinson wanted to leave he's Def got ability.

Only one that surprised me in terms of being released was Sammy Robinson.

Not bothered with Robinson, poor in both boxes and flattered to deceive.

Surprised at Robinson going. I got the impression Brown liked him.

Disappointed with Robinson going. Robinson always impressed me

Not surprised that Sammy has been released, loads of promise but doesn't appear to have a final ball in him.

Not surprised about Robinson one bit. He was rumoured to be going to Salford before getting injured

Yeah that Wikipedia page confused me as well! He sounds like he has issues with his temperament. He didn't endear some Vale fans by telling them to fuck off in a game against Accrington. Another fan said he'd probably make a better winger as his defensive work isn't great.

Given Kennedy has worked with him before, could be worth a year with an option to see if we can get a tune out of him.

But was he actually good last season? That's all I want to know.

Couldn't get my head around the Kiddy forum. Wasn't very user friendly.

To be fair JJ did put some quotes from the Kidderminster forum a few posts above. Not particularly helpful are the comments though. Some say he was crap, others say disappointed to see him leave.
