https://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2023/september/shrewsbury-town-team-photo/Height investigation latest, here's Shrewsbury's team photo from last year, he's in the middle row right as you look at it. Jordan Shipley who's stood next to him and looks the same height if not a smidge taller is 5' 11. Joe Anderson one more to his left is much taller and is 6' 2. He's not huge, but he's not tiny either. I'd estimate 5' 10.

‘ Standing well over six feet tall, Sobowale is a real athlete. ’
Lazy journalism, took that from Wiki.

I think ultimately until we get on top of our ‘admin expenses’ then anything & everything (particularly the on field stuff) is just papering over the cracks.
Even in the unlikely event we end up getting promoted - if we are still haemorrhaging unsustainable ‘admin expenses’ then we are just the proverbial pigs in lipstick.
Obviously on field success will placate a lot of people but won’t really ‘fix’ the club
This in a nutshell. If however we could become a far better proposition league position wise then that might help any potential suitors out there.

I'm still willing to say I think we had better players than Darcy at the time in his position and it was reasonable to get rid of him. I think he's better proof of two things 1) players can improve in a good environment, they're not just "good" or "bad" and 2) promotion sides are not always composed of brilliant players, sometimes a round peg in a round hole is good enough

Indeed. I think that they're not universally laughing at us taking him is a massive positive. The truth will come on the field

Interesting quote from the article - wing backs it is then.
Persisting with 3 at the back which has gone so swimmingly in recent years.

Agreed kemp has already joined us and Cain had spent pre-season as the CAM, so Darcy was never going to start.

I really dont like 3 at the back but TBF to Kennedy hopefully he can bring in at least a couple of experienced CB's that can play in that formation, something Lindsey/Garner and Flynn didn't get to do. We always seemed 1 or 2 CB's away from three needed to play that formation. They shoehorned existing players into their favoured formation of 3 CB's. At least Kennedy only has 1 genuine 1st team CB left in Dokes and he seems to often play better often when he is playing RWB. So the defensive trio can be pretty much the players of his (the clubs) choosing.
