Quote
Head of Football Jamie Russell said of the new addition: “Tunmise brings energy and he is very dynamic going forward and for the two systems that we are looking at, it is really important that we have got athleticism in wide areas.

Interesting quote from the article - wing backs it is then.

Looks like a decent signing to me but I’ll wait for Rob to tell me why he isn’t…

‘ Good signing! Really liked Tunmise, one of those players who receives the ball and just looks to drive forward taking on any defenders in sight. Can’t defend though and I see your official site is referring to him as a RB(?), he’s not. Play him at RW and he’ll be a fan favourite. Surprised Hurst didn’t give him another year.’

We are in exactly the same place as we were when the Trust called the club out, bar naming a manager and signing 1 player.  The important stuff and the things that the survey and letter called the club out on haven't changed at all, so far.

The manager is better than GG and the 1 player is the type of player we should be signing, but for me, until i see evidence that the club/ownership is changing it's ways, i will watch the signings being announced with less enthusiasm than i have for many a year.  Until that bit is fixed or at least improved, we will not reach the success levels that we are looking for.

I think ultimately until we get on top of our ‘admin expenses’ then anything & everything (particularly the on field stuff) is just papering over the cracks.

Even in the unlikely event we end up getting promoted - if we are still haemorrhaging unsustainable ‘admin expenses’ then we are just the proverbial pigs in lipstick.

Obviously on field success will placate a lot of people but won’t really ‘fix’ the club

From the two systems quote and what Shrewbury fans are saying, i think he may be the RWB in a 343 or a wider attacker in a 433 honestly.

He'll fit in well  Smiley
Joking aside, he looks a good acquisition, tall lad too.

I have no idea, never seen him play.  I did say our only signing before this one was a good one though.  i did also say Ofoborh and McGurk were good players and worth extending.

Apart from all that, yeah.

He played 30 times in league one last year, which is a positive in my view

Not getting excited, not getting disappointed. Not a lot to go on really, 30 appearances better than 0 but we'll see. Looking forward to seeing him play.

Very sensible. I think his age, some league 1 experience, his size and athleticism having watched the vid are at least positive. Better than genesini!

Having said that, a number of shrews fans seem disappointed. That's good!

I honestly think, a couple of proper CB's and we already have a very solid base to work from.
