But in the summer this forum were full of people saying he wasn't good enough for a promotion team. This can't be true

I remember it as a "he needs to sort his discipline out" which he has done very well to be fair. As long as we stop pretending he is a DM, as evidenced on Saturday, he is a very good player at L2.

I imagine that the Kielys are looking forward to a wonderful, no expense spared holiday in early Feb.

350k for a player ooc in summer is excellent money, but as everyone's said, it's hard to see it being reinvested. If the Wakeling and Khan money could buy Kemp and Young I think we'd all do it, but that doesn't seem to be our economic reality.

I look forward to him having a minor last minute niggle on Boxing Day too.

Also I'm sure they'd do the due diligence etc but Wrexham spending 350k on a guy who promptly went to Afcon for a month would be quite amusing.

I reckon you could squeeze more than 350k out of them as well. Would be some great business if there was any chance of it being reinvested, instead I can already imagine the 10 piece slide show explaining how it’s needed to keep us afloat until July and we’re loaning in Kadji to replace him

That will take Sandro/CK Kiely's model beyond £600k recouped in 18 months. Not too shabby

Add the inevitable Hutton move on top and they’ve got a good argument for their transfer business tbf

I know this will be vastly unpopular but I didn't mind Sandro's recruitment last summer.

The Wrexham game may be my last one. Want to see my football club advance, not just be a shop window.

I think we can all agree Adeloye was a duff one.

The big issue with the Sandro era was the ridiculous Lindsey appointment and then the January window. Some solid signings other than that for sure.

I mean, yes. However he wasn't really given a chance was he? His sample size wasn't impressive however when you consider how bad we were / are it's bizarre he's not been given a run.

He got put on the pitch away at Newport last season and scored. Then never seen again.

Whether you think he's good enough for this level or not, it's undeniable he'd of been a useful option off the bench this season. Or to take the work load off Austin.

Am I the only one who doesn't really rate Khan? That being said, no doubt we'll replace him with worse.

Saturday’s Khan was magnificent.

Great money offered for him, though. I’ve no problem with selling players as long as replacements are

a. In the offing
b. As good as/better than the player being replaced

With all the prospective outgoings in January I’d like to think we’ve got replacements in mind/lined up.

History, though . . .

350k according to the article

The first of many to go

Tried to sign him on deadline day too

Can’t be true surely, we’ve been told Clem would sell anything that isn’t nailed down so surely he would have gone.

If we sold Khan & signed Kemp & Young on permanent deals then it wouldn’t be too bad (probably not going to happen though)
