Goalkeeper - Christy Pym

Seems to fit the profile for what we'd be looking for. 52 conceded in 42 games makes me wince a bit though. Higher than Brynn when we've been appalling at the back and they finished higher than us.

I doubt very much whether Pym will be going back to Peterborough given what he posted on Instagram after their capitulation in the playoff.

Serious question, because I don't know much about him, but is he worse than Ward?

Would he be an adequate backup keeper

If Ward is our no.1 next year then that raises alarm bells.  Perfectly capable for a few games or one off games, but putting Ward in as No.1 for a season doesn't shout promotion to me

Don’t know if he’s actually signed, but as Berni says Ward isn’t a #1 keeper.

The question was more aimed at the suggestion Pym wasn’t any good, is that as first choice or is he (Pym) just a backup keeper or is he worse than that

At FRG away and in the run in, Ward showed he was a perfectly capable L2 goalkeeper. Happy for him to be challenging another good keeper for #1. His weakness is with his feet but if we aren't playing Poundland Pep football with a roll neck sporting manager, what's the issue?
