Ive said it before and I'll say it again....

With any potential signing you ask yourself...
Would he want to play for us?
Can we afford him?
Would he make us better
I suspect that in the case of the Thompson Twins, the answer to all of the above questions may well be 'yes'....

Whether they've played for us before is neither here nor there...

Good logical thinking. I agree.

Either or both would be excellent.

We have to remember they were both very good in league one. At league 2 level, assuming their legs are not gone, they would be great assets.

You wont get better than Nathan as a sweeper in a 3.

Louis was aggressive and tenacious and would be exactly what we need as well.

I'm not overly bothered with the ex player fascination. However these 2 are not just ex player, they are locals right, swindon fans. It would be huge for the relationship between the team and the supporters to have them back.

If it happens, they need to announce them with a repeat of the "imagine cruising into the Championship" video with them in the Captain's hats on the bridge of a ship. Pure cringe!

And a resurrection of the Yaya Toure darts chant no doubt!

Never bettered than when we went to the King Power in the FA Cup. What great support we had that day. Not sure we did much on the pitch but hey, a happy memory for sure.

I enjoyed that, good memories. Mrs Bob and I made an evening of it and had a superb curry in Leicester that evening. No disgrace losing 2-0 to a strong Championship side at the time. Konchesky scored one of them didn't he?

Sorry i've just realised this is the Transfer rumours thread - so easily derailed with this kind of nonsense!!

Beckford... boo. And how in God's name did Konchesky stay on the pitch for that potential career ender on Ferry?! Wellens there in blue too.

Anyway, anyone heard any transfer rumours?

I'm kind of getting my hopes up a bit now. I hope there is substance to these rumours.

The more I think about it, they really do fit the bill. Just as players, never mind the sentiment.

If we’re serious about promotion we need an influx of players from L1 - the Thompsons - not redistributing L2 dross - Labadie.

Exactly this. Labadie couldn't be a less exciting signing.

I understand that the Thompson's want to move back closer to home as their father is not well at the moment.  Crawley were intrested in Nathan which alerted us.

Both Thompsons would be excellent signings although I haven't seen them play much recently. Nathan has been playing regularly for Posh though so he must have something about him.

Hopefully Flynn has contacts outside of League Two as we need either top end League Two players or League One players to get out of this bloody division.

Big fat no to Labadie.

Big fat yes to the Thompsons.
