That's fine but I think you need to be careful not to dilute the "experienced group" too much. it's not that young players can't be better, but if we were in the playoffs hunt you need a few 'been there and done that' to keep it cool. imo
depending on who else leaves that is
Austin’s a game changer in terms of the “experienced” players. Not bothered if we don’t sign any under the “experienced” bracket this window now. Just want pure talent (not raw talent to showcase) that’s gonna be good enough to get us promotion.

Shame, but at least it's done quickly and gives us time to replace, much better this than going on deadline day.

Not that bothered don’t think he has brought much this season. Best of luck to him but made sense to cash in on a player who is out of contract in 6 months

He's obviously class, but has been a shadow of his former self so getting some cash for him is very good news. Losing him would have been devastating at this stage last season. This time around, not so much.

Losing him would have been a disaster in the summer. This year? He is just a backup midfielder, no real loss.

Out of contract at the end of the season, hasn’t been at his best in many games and seems to have wanted out for a while. Probably for the best.
Absolutely. I think he would have enjoyed yesterdays game if he played as Grimsby gave our midfield acres of space. No hard feelings though, good luck this season just not against Swindon, I am sure a good manager will get the best out of him, if we get a decent replacement then he won't be missed. He has been pretty poor this season, until recently ironically, last season he was excellent though despite a couple of very petulant moments that cost his with bookings and sendings off 17 bookings and 2 sendings off in just 67 games is a bit excessive.

Most over rated Town player in a long time. Sideways passer and little else, no loss.

Not sure what thread i said it in prevously about RHM but i would like to withdraw my comment. Not great first half but so much better still thatn Tomi. Happy to be proved wrong
Your apology is duly noted TBF first half he kept taking one too many touches, but 2nd half he played a team game and looked a really good player, but then so did Shade when he came on.

Reed has gone in a similar way to what Yasser Kasim did after 2014-5 when other players got a move and he didn't. Then didn't reach the same levels in the season after.

Ohh come off it. Players fit styles and systems, Reed was perfect for slower based possession football. Outstanding last season less effective this season. As we all witnessed yesterday as with a faster more direct approach Khan produced a master class, can only hope we see more of the same and a replacement is recruited to suit this “new” system (can only hope we move away from what we have been watching under SL). You could argue Reed was treated poorly, or deserved to be dropped but we witnessed a terrific footballer last season. Sure we move on, that is football but to call out “over rated” just be careful what you wish for. All depends on the style adopted and getting in an effective replacement. This after all remains League Two. Good luck to the lad, closer to his home, not to the detriment of Swindon though.

Strange to say but I know you will get it, was almost like he was over trying. Once he settled was causing Grimsby some problems. Couldn’t help thinking yesterday Austin is going to be some coach to RHM. We have a raw talent there.

I think 1st half RHM can definately be classed as trying way to hard to impress, he kept the ball for longer than he should have on 4 or 5 occassions when a short pass would have freed Austin or Wakeling, 2nd half though he used his head and played more of a team game without being greedy.
