Perfection is not attainable

I get it’s a bit awkward because we don’t have a manager but as it’s January we need to start thinking about new contracts for players.

Get it done and signed early and out the way - rather than waiting till the summer when agents are out in full force and their is a massive turn over of players everywhere.
I understand a couple of players have been lined up anyway manager or not, scouted players who the club wish to sign.

Williams is far more important to this team than Gladwin. He is a must keep.

Don't agree. Although Williams has upped his goal tally this season, he spends far too long on the ground and want more assists from him. Also he has been poor since  returning from the WC, apart from yesterday when he was OK, but not at the same level as Khan.

Gladwin has been the better player for most of this season and certainly wouldn't want to lose both as need some experience within the middle of the park, but if pushed would rather lose Williams than Gladwin..just my view. Ideally keep both as competition for places is key.

Williams is four times the player Gladwin is. A lot of these players if we lose, its dependent on who we're getting in if we'll miss them or not. Williams you're clearly not replacing in this league.

This - Just carrying the ball opens up space.
Would be a massive loss. Playing deeper the last few games.

We need to get Williams under a longer contract ASAP.

He does need to spend less time on the floor though.

The key to keeping the players we need for next season in L1 IS playing in L1 next season. Another season in L2 is just not good enough for the fans, certain players and the club as a whole.

Williams is far to good for this league if played centrally.

He is an average winger. Not enough pace.

Why Lindsey persisted on playing him wide left I'll never know.

Agree that Williams is far better centrally as doesn't have the pace to play wide. Just think that he is slightly over-rated by our fanbase whilst Gladwin is slightly under-rated. Gladwin has qualities which Williams doesn't, greater range of passing and defensive headers being 2 obvious ones. Williams is better at dribbling with the ball, finding pockets of space and has added goals this season.

Confirmed Reed has left.
Anyone have any idea how much money we got for him?

It's undisclosed. My guess would be around 50k

Yeah can't be much for an out of contract player in the summer. I thought the same.

Some random facebook account I just saw saying Gladwin to Crawley is done.

I thought about that with probably about the same for the Crawley compo. Should get FBT and Tomlinson for that.

Certainly better than nothing and hopefully could go towards strengthening for a late charge on the autos.

I'd be a bit disappointed with just 50k. Even with his contract running out.

Hopefully it was a bit more. Like to think we'd of been in an ok negotiating position as Mansfield got a transfer fee for Lapslie. Which was most likely inflated.

Is Reed the first player sold under Clem? Can’t think of another.
