From what I have heard from FGR fans, Lindsey is a very good coach, so like it or not, these are the type of players we are going to be working with. He's only 20 and is going to be very raw. Hopefully he'll kick on with us and improve and become an integral part of the squad.

That said, it's a punt really isn't it?
I too have heard from FGR and Swindon players that Lindsey is a damn good coach, far stricter than Garner was and a few players dont like working harder which could explain partly the players leaving, but hes very well respected by the players.

As for the signings, we will have to get used to this type of signing (for all 3 so far) with all young players they could be great but could be shocking, being in the bottom teir of football this is what we will have to deal with.

The days of signing 25, 26 or 27 year old well experienced, good players, on good wages is beyond us and the clubs remit now.

Expect most signings to be of this type from now on and you wont be disappointed, some fans set their hopes way too high expecting players like Simpson or Barry to sign etc etc.

We have to cut our cloth accordingly so most signings will be gambles.

More comfortable now that Twine appears to be concluded.
As others have said some of this should find its way into the transfer / wages budget.

Need to come to terms with losing Payne. That was almost a cert from May.

Be a good acid test of the regime if the Twine money is fully accounted for and we can see exactly what it's spent on, fingers crossed.

Re Lyden

Is he actually under contract or are we just doing him a favour?

Twine + Reed + Garner + Marshall = £££££££

Expect to see this reinvested into player kitty.

Will it though? Let’s see. Rotten if it doesn’t. Full transparency required from transparency fc.

Let’s not get carried away.

We don’t even know how much of the Twine money is going to be in an upfront payment.
A 4m transfer is hardly ever just 4m cash in one transaction. Their will be clauses and instalments, for sure.

He has been offered terms already I understand but obviously won't be completed until he returns to fitness.

most of it will probably go on debt. But that's understandable.

it's the 40a% increase that's exciting. So far we've only signed young hopefuls.

Absolutely, but if we were to spend the money we could structure it accordingly so that we pay once what we're owed hits.
