Poor from Clem, he should be targeting Pogba and Cavani, not Devine off that list.

I've never understood managers who raid their old club for players, it screams of being so one dimensional. Surely the challenge of being a successful manager is building a winning team in new circumstances?

My best mate is a St Johnstone fan and he thinks he looked really handy at LB until he was sent off and then recalled by United, played in the Europa league for them too including a draw at Galatasaray. Got injured at Walsall in his 2nd loan though.

The sort of player we should probably be looking at for the future.
He barely played for them didn’t he? Only 6 league games and recalled as there manager said he wasn’t in their plans. Similar to Massey he’s fine as a development player but hoping he wouldn’t be coming with a view to him being a starter.

I feel we have more to lose than gain by selling our best players. It would strike me as very unambitious as I doubt we would be able to use any money to get proven replacements in.

Yes and no. If Reed wants to leave then it could be counterproductive keeping him against his wishes. His form dips, he gets dropped, trains with the youths etc, affects the morale of the dressing room, blah blah. Reed is clearly a hugely important player but I don't think it's as black and white as being unambitious.

Or why change a winning formula?

Ellis for me looks fairly decent in midfield and when pushed forward down the left wing but at fullback/wingback hes totally lost.

Is it just me who's a bit confused how Ryan walker suddenly has no much intel on the goings on at Swindon?

Towards the end of the season he was definitely showing signs of improvement though. He was many people's man of the match in the second leg at Vale park at left wingback/fullback? The only things Ellis lacks is a final ball and a bit of ill-discipline problems. Aside from that he's a great asset to have given his flexibility.

Here's a thought - who is going to be club captain this year? Frenchie?
