STFC Official supporters club has expressed the widespread concern held by fans to the club and asked the club to to clarify the club's finances and the reason behind DJ sale.

They usually don't get involved in anything like this.

"The thing is he had a clause in his contract if a certain amount of money was met he could leave and that clause was met. We didn't want to lose him. We got DJ on a free and he is gone too soon. The clause in the contract was for a substantial amount so the club has covered themselves financially. He's gone and we wish him all the best."

Wright on Freeman departure:
We needed him and we saw during his limited appearances that he was getting better. It was a strange one but he was determined to leave once he knew Swansea was in for him. It's disappointing though and he has moved on. He was very demanding that he did want to leave the club.

If true, I guess that's why there is no sell-on?

Wright on players leaving:
If a player is unhappy and wants to leave then it isn't good for the club.

Then why didn't we use the money to try to sign somebody?...

Wright on Garrick:
He's a Yorkshireman and has a bit of pace and trickery about him. Losing DJ we needed someone like that and hopefully he can do well for us. He can play across the front-line and we need that versatility in the team.
