I wouldn't like to be Brizzle or Oxford ANY season - but I get your drift.

At least Brizzle are looking to invest, whereas Oxford seem to be worse off than last season. Fucking shame, that!

I hate Div 2. The only good point is that you get up to 7 chances to get out of it (Top 3) and (4th to 7th Play offs).

The Pox natives are getting restless.................Constable looks like he is on his way out.
All the hype over an average player. He made his name scoring the 2 against us though.

Interesting to see their season ticket sales with ours over 5,000 already..........."So much bigger than us" Wink

Neither could Pete Winkelman.
Every time I read his name I think of Peter Venkman!

Lancashire has surely got to be the most over-represented county when it comes to League clubs.

Burnley
Preston
Blackpool
Accrington
Morecambe
Fleetwood
Bury
Oldham
Rochdale
Man United
Man City
Bolton

A few of those are now Greater Manchester or unitary authorities etc., but they all used to be a part of the county of Lancashire, I think.  Reg will correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct...for administrative purposes Manchester, Liverpool etc are no longer in Lancashire...but they used to be, so it will do for me.

Lancashire has lost a few too....clubs who've all played in FL at some time....Bootle, Accrington, Darwen, Nelson, Wigan Borough and Southport.

Accrington should not be confused with Stanley, they were founder members of the FL, but resigned from the league in 1893.

I remain hopeful that Town looked to offer extensions to contracted players.

Plenty of clubs this summer are struggling to keep on to their better players after decent seasons.

Carlisle, for example, could lose Simek, Zoko, Taiwo, Michalik, Murphy and Berrett, all decent players.

Fleetwood will be right up there next year I think and Oxford will probably end up mid-table with Wilder sacked around Christmas time.
