When every single player/management search goes wrong is it too negative to suggest the people behind the scenes dont have a scooby what they are doing?  We can only keep blaming people changing their minds, or paperwork, or bad luck for so long. |

Egbo came from NY Red Bulls II, did he not? The USL is a mix of talent, somewhere between L2 & Non League for those with experience and then a good sprinkling pf Academy type plyers from Championship level teams. Most of the Academy talent is moving into a specific Academy League now I think. MLS itself is at least Championship level overall (and has a wide variety of talent ranging from Premier League to L2 in the squads). |

Let's hope sooner rather than later Clem gets the message that to get out of league 2 you need to get in decent experienced players who may not have much sell on value.
We definitely can do both. Think you need an experienced spine complimented with youth. |

I did say it has a wide variety of talent levels within the squad. It's made big strides in the time I've lived here, the majority of the first Xi's are now international players, many of them from South and Central American countries, and a big influx of Liga MX. Seems the German and Belgium clubs usually snap up the good USA youth prospects as well. Take Atlanta United for example, the local team to me, who have Almada in their team who just won the World Cup (getting some minutes along the way), Miles Robinson is a USA international on $750k a year, and sold Almiron to Newcastle. Once you get into the back-up players, then you start seeing the Egbo level players. |
