I agree it's really good but demand is high and I doubt they will sell many more than 4000 themselves.

You can’t moan about the allocation, it’s two full stands, the other 2 stands have never been used for away fans and so have no segregation arrangements.

They have their own fans as well with season tickets and don’t imagine they’d take kindly to being shifted.

Where have I moaned? I only said that I was surprised they hadn't offered a few hundred more tickets because of high demand and based on their own sales wouldn't be anything special and they could take advantage of some extra cash. I appreciate that it's too late now and that it would have caused logistical issues but it was hardly a moan😀

Due to the short distance I would risk travelling and ask around outside the ground.

That's my thinking Dukey. Any match there are always scenarios where people can't make it and others have spares. Will see up to Tues/Weds and if nothing has cropped up then will look at alternatives. A few of us working together to try and get a ticket for all of us so that'll be a nice rosy (or Town red) feeling if we manage to do that  :-[

Only way round a team getting both sections is to find away of getting 10% of the capacity for away fans in the Arkell’s. I’m sure with some messing about with the buffer zone it could be done.

It looks like this. I started off in the terrace part to the left of the seats but the view was awful and eventually moved round by the corner flag and ended up getting soaked.

If we're trying to keep every seat but have to give a very small amount of 'covered' then just give them the front of the arkells bit and make them access it through the SB turnstiles. The main seats behind can be kept for home fans and accessed through the usual way.

I'm sure the police would rule it out if it was Rovers but shouldn't be much of an issue for anyone else.

If people were turfed out of the Arkell’s, DRS, or the Town End under similar circumstances it would all be kicking off!

The stand your refer to has always been a home stand and is the stand that contains their hospitality so they aren’t going to reconfigure it and put Town fans there and as Chang says probably would require new segregation. It would be like putting away fans all around the Arkell’s exec area, it just wouldn’t happen. There are 4 days until Saturday and maybe they would like the opportunity to sell seats to their own fans. This isn’t all about STFC! 3.6k is above and beyond already.

M5 northbound is going to be a mare, the M6 not so bad as northbound traffic has the option to use the M6 toll which would bypass all problems. M42 big loop might be an option.

2nd - Rovers, wankers. Not only did Scunny play kids; the 14 min pitch invasion delay meant that they had the luxury of knowing exactly what they needed to do to go up. Which would def have been an advantage

Cracking day out and so good to take momentum into the play offs. Credit to the travelling support. Also good to see some players (Jordan Lyden and Harrison Minturn) in with the fans. I’m sure there were others…. Bring on Sunday.

Walsall had few clear chances - Ward’s best save came when the attacher was offside.
Comfortable win really.
One complaint - why do idiots throw flares/smoke bombs during the game? Unnecessary.
Now for the play offs - I’m glad we can’t play Bristol Rovers - as the smoke bombs indicate, we have enough idiots of our own - combine it with theirs , plus the usual trouble makers joining in and it would be a very unpleasant occasion.

Decent lad, enjoyed his three blogs. It is a big ask for a club like Walsall to generate the interest locally with four big clubs in close proximity to any more and a jobbing L1 or L2 team. However, to maintain the four leagues we need clubs like us and Walsall to maintain that pyramid of hope.

I hate McKirdy, but i’d love him to be playing for us.

I said this to my mate who’s come today. Ridiculous. Payne, Williams and McKirdy are above this league.

Their first goal was taken well, the second we absolutely caved, invited them on with no resistance whatsoever, schoolboys could score given that much space.

They are so much better than us in almost every position on the pitch, how they’re only in 7th place is puzzling.

As for today sometimes you have to accept the opposition are better. Swindon along with FGR and Exeter are the best footballing team in this league.

The state Swindon were in and they managed to put a team together that made the play offs.

Fantastic crowd today, brilliant turnout by the Swindon fans who made a lot of noise. It’s a shame 5400 of us didn’t have anything to cheer for.
