Could be our last game with a crowd. Noises from Ipswich Town reckon all EFL games will be behind closed doors with live iFollow streaming available to all after Saturday...

By my guesstimate, we stand to lose c£500,000 in Matchday income - 8000 attendance, maybe 50% ST holders = 4000 x c£20 tickets = £80,000 per game x 5 home games + peripheral bits and bobs.

It’ll finish off some clubs, I reckon.

We've only got 4 home games left, not 5, so although losing the income would be unwanted shouldn't be terminal.

I think the club usually calculate the average walk up ticket price as around 15 quid, allowing for discounts etc. And as Reg says there's only 4 home games left. So more like 4 x 4000 x 15 = 240k. It's still quarter of a million quid, that's a huge chunk of money for a L2 club

Some people are on about postponing the season until May/June (which may not be long enough anyway) but the problem with that is that a load of players will be out of contract by then and loans terminated.

Loans might be, but the league could just allow them to be extended, perm contracts usually run until June 30th.

Though as we said the other day, deduct matchday costs from that and add iFollow subs at a tenner a go and the gap narrows quite a bit. Might even tempt in a lot of people who wouldn't otherwise bother turning up. As long as the bosses don't discover this is a better model for the future of football...

I think it's fair on everyone if we just finish the season now.

Not until we have won our game in hand thank you. After then, not a problem.

Nah, target is promotion, job done, wash our hands of this division, thoroughly, for as long as it takes to sing E I E I E I O three times over.

Imagine Cruising is beginning to sound a bit ironic.

Could be looking for a new sponsor next year. Could also affect the Trust’s ground purchase plans.

Looking increasingly likely that football will go into lockdown.

Wasn't that long ago some of the usual suspects disagreed with my contention that matters STFC are rarely straightforward
